Calling all lovers of The Roaring 1920s! The Cadre Building is breaching its 100th anniversary in just a few short years. Take one step inside, and you’ll think you’ve arrived at one of the infamous parties in Gatsby’s mansion. Gilded columns, giant mirrors, and a Mezzanine overlooking the whole event take us back to the classic age of champagne coup glasses and jazz music. The historic buildings of Downtown, Memphis are truly unmatched in their timeless beauty.

This is not to say you can’t hold a completely different event at The Cadre Building. It’s a beautiful space without much more than tea lights, and we’ve seen weddings do just that or full-on productions with parties extending out onto Second Street! No, we can’t get rid of the gilded columns and giant mirrors on the South Wall, but your creative freedom is endless— from hanging the bridal cake from the ceiling to hiring trapeze artists for cocktail hour (and we’ve seen both of those in here, too).

Everyone dreams of their future wedding. Why NOT hold it in a space fit for the royal family or Gatsby himself? We have stunning spaces for getting ready, too. The bridal Suite comes with a floor-to-ceiling mirror, a makeup bar, and it’s the perfect space to relax and get those super cute getting-ready pictures you’ll cherish years later. Our Grooms Suite is truly a gentleman’s space with couches, tall ceilings, a rack for hanging suits, and it’s the perfect spot for the guys to relax before it’s time to walk down the aisle. Oh yeah— we also have a separate break room for your band. No band? Use it for the bridesmaids and groomsmen’s catering area during those getting-ready hours. The point is, we have exactly what you need to prepare for the biggest day of your life.
